Speaking at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) after receiving 31 Kenyans rescued from Myanmar scam camps, Diaspora Affairs PS, Roseline K. Njogu,CBS declared that no member of the trafficking syndicates would be spared. She emphasized that a multi-agency approach is being implemented to combat the menace, which has victimized hundreds of Kenyan youth.
PS Njogu underscored the government's commitment to dismantling these networks and holding rogue agents accountable for exploiting unsuspecting Kenyans and causing harm to families. She urged the rescued victims to help raise awareness and caution their peers against falling for fraudulent job offers.
The Government continues to demonstrate its dedication to safeguarding Kenyans abroad, with this group being the second batch of victims rescued from Myanmar scam camps following a group of 47 Kenyans who arrived on Saturday morning.
The PS also encouraged Kenyan youth to verify job opportunities through official channels such as the National Employment Authority (NEA) website www.neamis.go.ke or email kazimajuu@diaspora.go.ke or call: +254114757002.
This initiative is part of a broader effort to end human trafficking and protect the welfare and rights of Kenyans globally. #EndHumanTrafficking
