DIASPORA AFFAIRS PS MEETS GERMANY’S SPECIAL COMMISSIONER FOR MIGRATION AGREEMENTS

Friday, April 4, 2025(NAIROBI)_Diaspora Affairs PS, Ms. Roseline K. Njogu hosted Dr. Joachim Stamp, Germany’s Special Commissioner for Migration Agreements, to discuss matters of mutual interest between Kenya and Germany including labor mobility.
The meeting centered on the implementation phase of the comprehensive migration and mobility partnership agreement signed between Kenya and Germany.
This landmark agreement has already facilitated over 380 confirmed job placements for Kenyans in Germany, marking the beginning of a robust labor exchange.
The Kenyan government, through the State Department for Diaspora Affairs, remains committed to promoting safe, structured, and mutually beneficial migration policies. The engagement underscores the growing partnership between Kenya and Germany in fostering labor mobility and economic cooperation.
Dr. Stamp was accompanied by Dr. Peter Schmidt, Ms. Dorothee Schechter, and Mr. Alexander Fierley. The SDDA team included Amb. Isaiya Kabira, Ms. Irene Karari, Mr. Mwirigi Gatobu, Ms. Phyllis Githua, and Ms. Dorothy Faraay.
