Tuesday, November 18, 2025(CANBERRA, AUSTRALIA)__Diaspora Affairs PS, Ms. Roseline Kathure Njogu, CBS, on Tuesday, joined Kenyans during a Diaspora engagement in Canberra where she met Kenyan professionals from the regions of Canberra, Sydney, Queensland, Victoria and New Zealand.

The engagement, which was also attended by Dr. Wilson Kogo, Kenya's High Commissioner to Australia, presented a platform to reaffirm the Government's commitment to protect, engage, empower, and prosper Kenyans; as outlined in the Kenya Diaspora Policy 2024.

In her remarks, the Principal Secretary encouraged the diaspora to leverage their networks to support the labour mobility agenda through creating safe, sustainable, and ethical pathways for employment creation abroad.

While reflecting on Kenya's diplomatic relations with Australia, Amb. Kogo called for the need to forge stronger relations through research, innovation, better positioning of brand Kenya and the transfer of knowledge, skills and technology. He also encouraged patriotism and the need to embrace the diversity.

Kenyans, through their respective diaspora leaders, thanked the State Department for the expedition of services through the Mobile Consular Services (MCS) and commended the High Commission's diaspora management practices.

The PS called upon the diaspora to contribute to the national development process by purposing to be agents of change in their home country.
