Wednesday 19, 2025(NAIROBI)__In #DiasporaTime this week, PS Roseline K. Njogu hosted Ms. Virginia Mutheu Weiß, a German-based nurse, Sawubona Foundation coordinator, and member of Kenyan Women in Germany, to discuss skills and technology transfer in the healthcare sector.

The conversation explored how Kenyan professionals in abroad can contribute to Kenya’s healthcare by sharing knowledge, best practices, and innovations.

The PS and Ms. Weiß also discussed collaborative opportunities such as medical camps, enabling diaspora healthcare professionals to provide services and expertise to Kenyan communities.

PS Njogu reiterated the government's dedication to supporting the diaspora through policies and programs that enhance the well-being of Kenyan professionals abroad while maintaining strong ties to their homeland. This aligns with efforts to strengthen research and innovation ecosystems in Africa and leverage the diaspora's potential for national development.

The Government recognizes the importance of technology transfer and knowledge exchange between Kenyans abroad and local institutions to enhance economic growth and improve service delivery. #DiasporaFirst
