Friday, October 3, 2025(ATLANTA)__Amb. Isaiya Kabira, Secretary for Diaspora Investment, Skills and Entrepreneurship, represented the State Department for Diaspora Affairs (SDDA) at the Go Global International Trade and Investment Expo in Atlanta, Georgia.

Balozi Kabira, while addressing the gathering at the expo, termed the event as a critical platform to connect Atlanta's vibrant business community with the unparalleled opportunities emerging across the African continent especially in Kenya.

The Expo aligns with an Africa-centric initiative led by the Atlanta Black Chambers, which recognizes the pivotal role of the diaspora as catalysts for economic matchmaking and sustainable business development.

In his keynote address, Amb. Kabira reminded the audience of Africa's demographic and economic destiny.

“If you are not thinking about Africa, you are not thinking about the future,” he stated, a sentiment that resonated with the audience.

He expounded on this by highlighting the transformative potential of Africa's projected population of 2.5 billion people by 2050—a vast, young, and a highly skilled population.

Amb. Kabira issued an open invitation as he positioned Kenya as the ideal partner for U.S. enterprises, stating, “Welcome to Kenya, the true gateway to Africa.”

This message underscored the country's strategic position as a stable, innovative, and well-connected hub for market entry, offering investors seamless access to the broader East African Community and the continent at large.

The participation at the Go Global Expo underscores the Kenyan government's commitment to leveraging its diaspora networks as key economic diplomats and channeling foreign direct investment into critical sectors for national development.
