Wednesday, September 17, 2025(NAIROBI, KENYA)__Ambassador Isaiya Kabira, Secretary for Diaspora Investments, Skills, and Entrepreneurship chaired a strategic debrief meeting with representatives from HOPS Labour Solutions.

The session focused on evaluating the 7th cycle of the Mkulima Majuu recruitment drive, recently conducted in three Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions in the country.

The session served as a crucial post-mortem analysis, conducting a comprehensive analysis of the entire exercise. This review is essential for optimizing future drives and ensuring the program's continued success in delivering on its mandate.

Amb. Kabira underscored the critical importance of the initiative stating that the program is a key pillar of the Government's agenda to create seamless pathways for Kenyan skilled and talented youth into the international job market.

At the same time, Mr. Jonathan Burgess, the Operations Director at HOPS Labour Solutions, provided positive feedback on the recruitment outcomes as he lauded the exceptional quality of the candidates.

The Mkulima Majuu initiative is a flagship program under the Government of Kenya's broader strategy to address youth unemployment by facilitating skilled job placements abroad, particularly in the agricultural sector.
