SHAPING KENYA'S DIPLOMATIC FUTURE!

Friday, August 22, 2025(NAIROBI)-–Foreign Service Cadets deployed to the State Department for Diaspora Affairs participated in an exclusive session with seasoned diplomats today.

The masterclass, featuring retired Ambassadors Tom Amolo, Dr. Josephine Ojiambo, and Washington Oloo, provided a deep dive into the realities of diplomatic service.

Moderated by Amb. Patrick Wamoto, Ag. Director-General, Foreign Service Academy, the discussion focused on the paradigm shifts within international diplomacy and the evolving role of a diplomat.

The ambassadors shared firsthand experiences and practical knowledge, offering the cadets a critical perspective on their future careers.

This event marks a key phase in the cadets' intensive induction program, which is designed to equip them to effectively represent Kenya's interests abroad and shape the nation's diplomatic future.

Diaspora Affairs Principal Secretary, Ms. Roseline K. Njogu, was represented by Mr. Boniface Munzala, Director and Head of Savings, Investments and Remittances(SIR) Division.
