Monday, August 18, 2025(NAIROBI)__Kenya’s Ambassador to Qatar, Amb. Mohamed Nur Adan, today paid a courtesy visit to Principal Secretary Roseline K. Njogu.

On #BaloziTime, the discussions centered on the situation of the more than 70,000 Kenyans residing and working in Qatar, with a particular focus on their welfare, opportunities for deeper engagement, and collaborative strategies to support their integration into Kenya’s national development priorities.

Key topics included safeguarding the rights of workers, expanding opportunities for labour mobility, boosting diaspora investment, and enhancing service delivery through improved engagement platforms. The Government, through Diaspora Affairs, remains committed to providing efficient, timely, and people-focused services to protect the interests of Kenyans abroad and address their concerns promptly.

The meeting also addressed preparations for upcoming national holiday celebrations, emphasizing their role as vital events for uniting Kenyans, celebrating shared identity, and strengthening community ties. These occasions were recognized as important forums for nurturing unity and offering support within the diaspora.

Both leaders reaffirmed Kenya’s dedication to forging robust partnerships with host nations, prioritizing the protection and empowerment of Kenyans living and working overseas so they can thrive, actively contribute to the country’s socio-economic progress, and remain engaged stakeholders in Kenya’s development journey.
