PS NJOGU, EUROPEAN BUSINESS UNIVERSITY FOUNDER HOLD CONSULTATIVE MEETING ON SKILLS, LABOUR MOBILITY

Friday, May 30, 2025(NAIROBI)__Diaspora Affairs Principal Secretary, Ms. Roseline K. Njogu, CBS, on Friday, met with Professor James Mulli, a prominent member of the Kenyan diaspora and Founder of the European Business University (EBU) in Luxembourg.
The discussion focused on potential collaboration in key areas such as skills and technology transfer, as well as expanding access to education and scholarship opportunities for Kenyan students at EBU.
Aligned with the State Department’s mandate, the meeting also explored emerging labor mobility pathways to Luxembourg in high-demand sectors including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cybersecurity, Blockchain technology, and Robotics. These opportunities correspond with Luxembourg’s 2030 AI and Data Strategy, which seeks to attract global talent to drive the nation’s digital transformation.
PS Njogu reiterated the government’s commitment to partnering closely with the Kenyan diaspora to broaden employment and training prospects for Kenyans, leveraging international collaborations to build a skilled and globally competitive workforce.
The meeting was attended by Ms. Irene Karari, Director and Head of the Skills and Expertise Division, and Foreign Service Officer Nikki Matika.
