Wednesday, May 28, 2025(NAIROBI)__Diaspora Affairs PS Roseline K. Njogu, CBS, has noted that people-to-people engagement, particularly through the Kenyan diaspora, is instrumental in elevating Kenya’s profile on the world stage.

She highlighted the vibrant and dynamic relationships that link Kenya to the international community, noting that the diaspora serves not only as ambassadors of excellence but also as strategic partners in the nation’s socio-economic development.

Speaking at the event “Celebrating 60 Years of U.S.-Kenya Diaspora Relations: Bridging Nations, Enhancing Mutual Growth and Development,” organized by the Africa Center for the Study of the U.S. (ACSUS) at the University of Nairobi-@uonbi , PS Njogu underscored that Kenya’s Foreign Policy is firmly rooted in the commitment to project, promote, and protect the country’s interests globally.

She further stressed that at the heart of this policy is the recognition of the diaspora as a vital asset in advancing Kenya’s economic and diplomatic objectives.

The PS reiterated the Government’s dedication, through the State Department for Diaspora Affairs, to promoting the welfare and prosperity of Kenyans abroad by implementing initiatives in line with the Bottom-Up Transformation Agenda (BETA) that protect, engage, empower, and support the diaspora community.

PS Njogu was accompanied at the event by Amb. Anne Wanjohi, Director and Head of Liaison & Partnerships, and Mr. Edwin Limo, Director (L&P). #SDDAEngages #USKERelationsAt60
