KENYA AND JERSEY EXPLORE PARTNERSHIP ON STRATEGIC LABOUR MOBILITY

Monday, May 19, 2025(JERSEY)__Diaspora Affairs PS Ms. Roseline K. Njogu, engaged in high-level discussions with Jersey government officials, including Minister Ian Gorst (External Relations) and Minister Moz Scott (Sustainable Economic Development).
The meeting reinforced the strong diplomatic and economic relationship between Kenya and Jersey, while opening new avenues for collaboration-particularly in establishing structured labor mobility programs.
Kenya reiterated its dedication to creating ethical and well-regulated labor migration pathways that bring mutual benefits to both countries.
The discussion revolved around harnessing Kenya’s dynamic and highly skilled workforce, formulation of a government-to-government framework to ensure fair recruitment as well as uphold workers welfare.
The engagement aligns with Kenya’s broader strategy to expand labor mobility partnerships, building on successful agreements signed recently.
Amb. Isaiah Kabira (Secretary, Skills, Investment and Entrepreneurship), Amb. Joseph Warui (Deputy Head of Mission, London), and representatives from the Kenya High Commission in London and the State Department for Diaspora Affairs were present in the meeting. #KenyaJerseyTies
