Tuesday, September 30, 2025(NAIROBI)__In a whole-of-society-approach, the State Department for Diaspora Affairs will join the nation in celebrating Mazingira Day 2025 on October 10th this year.

Embracing this year's theme of citizen-centric tree growing and environmental stewardship, Principal Secretary Ms. Roseline K. Njogu will lead a fruit tree planting drive at the Bishop Lawi Imathiu Boarding Primary and Junior Secondary School, and Mama Day Primary School in Meru County.

The event will champion the national call to action: “My Environment, My Responsibility. Let’s Clean and Green It!” 

By focusing on planting fruit trees in schools, these efforts aim to build a greener environment while also enhancing children's nutrition.
