Saturday, September 27, 2025(NAIROBI)__The principle that there can be no human rights without Sign Language rights resonated powerfully at the Kenya International Deaf Week Celebration 2025, held at the Kenyatta International Convention Center (KICC).

The event served as a pivotal national platform to champion the recognition of Sign Language rights as fundamental, inalienable human rights, central to the dignity and full participation of the Deaf community.

Ambassador Ann Wanjohi, Director and head of the Liaison and Partnerships Division, represented the Principal Secretary for Diaspora Affairs, Ms. Roseline K. Njogu, CBS, underscoring the government's high-level engagement.
