A UROLOGY MEDICAL CAMP ORGANIZED BY KUTRRH, DIASPORA AFFAIRS AND ALLINA HEALTH

Wednesday, July 23, 2025(NAIROBI)_ A urology medical camp kicked off at the Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral and Research Hospital (KUTRRH), organized by KUTRRH in partnership with the State Department for Diaspora Affairs (SDDA) and Allina Health, a U.S.-based organization.

The medical team, which includes Kenyan diaspora professionals, is conducting the camp as part of a community outreach initiative and a flagship SDDA program focused on skills and knowledge transfer by Kenyans living abroad.

The initiative also aims to dispel the misconception that labor mobility leads to brain drain, emphasizing instead the concept of ‘brain circulation’—where Kenyans who have advanced in their careers abroad return home to train, mentor, and inspire the country’s skilled youth.

On Monday, the Allina Health team, accompanied by officials from KUTRRH, paid a courtesy visit to H.E. Musalia Mudavadi, Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, alongside Ms. Roseline K. Njogu, Principal Secretary for Diaspora Affairs.
