KENYA-REPUBLIC OF KOREA TIES

Thursday, May 14, 2025(NAIROBI)__H.E Kang Hyung-shik, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Kenya and Permanent Representative to UNEP & UN-Habitat, paid a courtesy visit to Diaspora Affairs PS, Ms. Roseline Kathure Njogu .

During their meeting, the Principal Secretary and Ambassador Kang highlighted the significant contribution of the diaspora to national development and reiterated their joint commitment to safeguarding the rights and welfare of diaspora communities.

They also agreed on the importance of deepening cooperation to tackle transnational issues, with a particular focus on combating human trafficking.

Both sides underscored the need to enhance bilateral and multilateral partnerships and to foster stronger people-to-people ties through cultural diplomacy.

The meeting was attended by Amb. Isaiya Kabira, Secretary for Investments, Skills and Entrepreneurship; Ms. Mildred Ming'ala, Assistant Director - Foreign Service; and Ms. Anne Kimani, Foreign Service Officer.
