Thursday, June 18, 2026(NAIROBI)__Today, the Government of Kenya and the Republic of Armenia signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Diaspora Cooperation during a ceremony held in Nairobi.

The one of a kind MOU was signed by Ms. Roseline Kathure Njogu, CBS, Principal Secretary for Diaspora Affairs, on behalf of the Government of Kenya, and H.E. Zareh Sinanyan, High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.

The signing of the MoU marks a significant milestone in the relations between the two countries and formalizes a strategic framework for collaboration on diaspora affairs.

Speaking during the ceremony, the two leaders underscored the important role played by diaspora communities as strategic partners in national development, economic growth, innovation, and people-to-people relations.

The High Commissioner was accompanied by Mr. Karen Avanesyan, Head of Department for Mapping Diaspora Potential and Engagement, whereas the Principal Secretary was accompanied by Amb. Isaiya Kabira, Secretary, Skills, Investments & Entrepreneurship, and other senior officials from the State Department.
