DIASPORA ENGAGEMENT IN ABUJA, NIGERIA

Friday, June 28, 2025(ABUJA,NIGERIA) H.E. Musalia Mudavadi, Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, while in Abuja-Nigeria, held an engaging meeting with members of the Kenyan diaspora at Fraser Suites.
The gathering brought together a dynamic and accomplished community of Kenyans making impactful contributions across various sectors in Nigeria.
H.E. Mudavadi commended the dedicated staff of the Kenya High Commission in Abuja for their steadfast service and unwavering support to Kenyan citizens abroad.
He also extended his deep appreciation to the diaspora community for their vital role in fostering stronger ties between Kenya and Nigeria, enriching bilateral relations through meaningful people-to-people connections.
A key highlight of the engagement was the reaffirmation of the diaspora’s central role in Kenya’s development journey. With remittance inflows nearing the one trillion-shilling mark annually, the Kenyan diaspora remains a powerful force for national progress, demonstrating remarkable resilience, patriotism, and a steadfast belief in the country’s future.
H.E. Mudavadi reiterated the Government’s recognition of the diaspora as indispensable partners in advancing inclusive growth.
