#CHANUAVIJANA2024: BARINGO BUSINESS AND DIGITAL INNOVATION SUMMIT

At the Baringo business and digital innovation summit 2024, representing PS @roselinenjogu, Mr. David Katiambo, Director of Skills and Expertise, urged the youth to use digital resources to explore online opportunities like remote jobs .
Mr. Katiambo reiterated the three-pronged approach in job opportunities which include; jobs locally, jobs online and #KaziMajuu as he laid out migration pathways for international jobs.
The event whose clarion call was leveraging digital technologies to engage, educate and inspire the youth on emerging trends and opportunities, availed an opportunity for the youth gathered at the National Museum Grounds-Kabarnet, to learn from industry leaders, those actively involved in the creative sector and the digital economy.
H.E @BenjaminCCheboi, Governor of Baringo County, said his administration is very keen to partner with other stakeholders to open up opportunities locally, online and in the Diaspora to benefit the youth of County Number 30.
At the same event, ICT PS @tanuijohn outlined the infrastructural resources deployed to support the digital economy in the country including the 13,000Kms of fibre optic. The Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises -MSMEs PS, Ms Susan Mang'eni spoke of the Government deliberate efforts to support the youth with information as well as financial boost to implement their business ideas.
Mr. Dennis Itumbi, Head of Presidential Special Projects and Creative Economy, Dr. Erick Rutto, President- @kenya_chamber, local and opinion leaders, representatives of Konza Technopolis and @INUA_AI graced the event.
